Guide to the Curly Wurly
Share
Launched by Cadbury in 1970, Curly Wurlies are known for their fun ladder shape. They are not to be confused with the similar, discontinued American sweet known as the “Marathon Bar”. Curly Wurlies were actually invented by accident by a Cadbury employee named David John Parfitt. He was experimenting with toffee from another sweet and accidentally discovered how to create what is now known as the Curly Wurly’s iconic ladder shape.
Curly Wurlies are long twisted chocolate and caramel bars. It’s no wonder they were so popular. Chocolate and caramel are an award winning combination.
We highly recommend Curly Wurlies. This British sweet is fantastic for a snack. Just think of biting into a sensational chocolate bar oozing with caramel. Sounds great right? If it does, be sure to buy some at our Central and Wan Chai stores. Also, share this post with your family and friends and comment below telling us which sweet you want us to write about in our next blog post which will be coming in a week or two.
