Guide to Bonbons
Share

Bonbons are one of our most popular back wall sweets. They are chewy candies. The word bonbon can also be used to refer to candies without a chocolate coating.
The name Bonbons comes from the French word “bon” meaning good. Bonbons have been around since the 1800s. The first account of bonbons is when they were made for the French Royal court. Earlier versions of bonbons are said to be made out of almonds with a sugar coating. Later on, almonds were replaced with a sweet centre.
Fun fact: In 1866, Johann Strauss II composed a waltz named Wiener Bonbons. The song was inspired by bonbons. The title page even showed the name in twisted bonbon wrappers.
Looking for some bonbons? We have some of the best around. As the French would say, ils sont très bons. Our bonbons come in many different flavours: apple, banana, cherry, lemon, peach and cream, toffee and more.
